Meet Steph
Steph is an illustrative tattoo artist and freelance illustrator based in Ottawa. Originally from the Seychelles Islands, they have called Canada home for more than 10 years. With a background in communications and illustration, they’ve built a practice that blends storytelling, texture, and animated flair into everything they create.
As a Queer BIPOC artist, Steph values inclusivity, openness, and collaboration. Their tattoos are fun, unique, and tailored to each client, while still carrying their own illustrative style and love for detail. More than just the artwork, they make the whole process feel creative, comfortable, and true to you.
Outside of tattooing, Steph freelances with clients such as Paramount Pictures, NAC, Local BIAS and so much more. They also often collaborate with other artists on murals, events, and community projects. You might also find them in unexpected places—from an architectural convention to a conference they have no business being at—always curious and always creating. Most days, though, Steph can be found in Hintonburg, sipping lemonade, dodging wasps, spray painting, or even face painting, finding joy in the little things that keep art playful and alive.
